Live Lesson: $70 per hour Virtual Lesson: $60 per hour
Michael currently maintains a private studio of violin and viola students in Chicago’s West Loop and in Naperville, Illinois. He has taught as an instrumental instructor and chamber coach at the Juilliard School Pre-College program, given masterclasses on orchestral excerpts and taught in public schools across all five boroughs of NYC. His students frequently win top chairs in youth orchestras, state music competitions, and have obtained scholarships to some of the best music conservatories such as Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and Cleveland Institute of Music. He has served as teaching assistant to Susan Starrett, a protege of pedagogue and Hungarian Violinist Paul Rolland, and furthered his artistry in teaching by attending masterclasses with legendary artists such as Ivry Gitlis, Dora Schwarzberg, Michael Tree, and Natalia Prischepenko (former violinist of the Artemis Quartet). He combines classic literature, scales and techniques alongside modern repertoire and is a certified teacher with the Mark O’Connor String Methods.
